Location: From Christchurch to Timaru to Central Otago to Queenstown City to Wanaka and back to Christchurch. *Queenstown City is the main location.

Day 1=Timaru: Caroline Bay Association (Carnival) - amusement park in Timaru.
Day 1=Central Otago: Kiwi Water Park - inflatable water park in Cromwell.
Day 1=Queenstown City: Walk around the city, go to the Fear Factory which is a tourist attraction.
Day 2=Queenstown City: Gondola, Luge Rides, Bungee jumping,
cruising.
Day 3=Queenstown City: Jet boating, parasailing, hydro attack, visit puzzling word, see "that Wanaka tree".
Where will we stay: At the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Queenstown - 4 star hotel, top rated, free breakfast, restaurant, near public transport, great location for tourists, bar, fitness center.

From Christchurch to Timaru: 2 hours and 3 mins - 162.4km via State Highway 1
Timaru to Central Otago: 3 hours and 18 minutes - 260.7km via State Highway 8
Central Otago to Queenstown City: 1 hour and 55 minutes - 136km via State Highway 6
Queenstown City back to Christchurch: 5 hours and 48 minutes - 481.4km via State Highway 8
Whos going: We are a family of 5 - me, my parents and my 2 siblings.
What we need to do in order to get there;
- A car, petrol, money, clothes for 3 days, togs, essentials, hygiene stuff, snacks and some food for day 1's lunch.
Costs;
Petrol: According to www.drivingtests.co.nz, you can take take the cost for your fuel per tank and divide it by the kilometer driven to find out your fuel cost per kilometer eg. $130km/800km= $0.16 per kilometer.
Therefore: around 1050km x $0.16 = $168
day 1. Carnival: $25 per person (5 rides each person) x 5 = $125
Water Park: $40 per person (2 hours) x 5 = $200
Eat lunch from home = free
Walk around City = free
Fear Factory: $120 (4 adults) + $20 (1 child) = $140
Dinner at a restaurant = around $100
day 2. Breakfast from the Hotel = free
